Baby Steps

It’s been an age since I updated my little newsletter. A lot has happened in the months since. After much debate and internal struggle, I finally chose to step back from Studio Metropolis Inc. and focus on my writing. It was not an easy choice, nor was it popular with some of the people around me. But sometimes living with integrity means accepting when you’ve come to the end of your bandwidth and letting go.

Since then, I’ve started putting together Curiouser & Curiouser Vol 2, with the help of some amazing writers and artists. We’re doing our best to eliminate all risk to contributors and to that end, I surrendered my ago and reopened my Patreon (patreon.com/seransdell). I’m not happy about it, but these days, we do what we can to survive as creators. I’m also mid-build of my (truly terrible at the moment) website. I still want to make collaborations less regional and give creatives a place to come to vent, find resources, and grow their communities. To that end, I’ll be including links to other, better sources than myself, and as many years of experience as I can get my grubby little hands on.

I don’t have the words to express my gratitude towards the people who are here, especially the ones who have stuck around through all my trial-and-error learning. You are amazing, and I see you.

Anyway, I’m still doing my best to conquer this whole “adulting thing,” and I’ll be posting some cool links very soon.
